Territory Assignments allows you to Assign territories to either Publishers or Field Service Groups.
Territories can also optionally be assigned as Personal Territories or for a Campaign.
Territory Assignment Records are retained for the current service year and for the previous service year only (see sfla).
To access Territory Assignments:
- Click Territories > Territories List or Territories List and Map
- Select a territory
- Click Territory Assignments

Territory Assignments List
Past and current Territory Assignments are listed for the selected territory.
- Note: Territory Assignment Records are retained for the current service year and for the previous service year only (see sfla).
The Territory Assignments List shows the following:
- Date Assigned
- Date Completed
- Campaign icon
- Assign to (person or Field Service Group)
Territory Assignments
Assigned to
Territories can be Assigned to a Publisher, Field Service Group or Neighbor Congregation.
This determins who can access Terriroy Administration on NWP app, and who is shown on the S-13 Territory Assignment History record.
- Note: Each person can be assigned a maximum of 10 territories at one time, and each Field Service Group can be assigned a maximum of 15 territories at one time.
NWP App Show to
This determins who will see the territory on NWP app, and can be either:
- Congregation
- Field Service Groups
- Family
- Persons
This can later be changed either in NWS or on the NWP under Territory Administration.
Territories assigned to a Neighbor Congregation will not appear on the NW Publisher app.
Congregation Territory
Typically, you would assign this territory to a Person, and then set NWP App Show to – Congregation
- For example, a brother conducting the Wednesday morning Meeting for Field Service would be assigned a territory. He will arrange and direct everyone who is witnessing on Wednesday morning to work this territory together. (See km 3/15 pp. 3-6 par 6, or od 65-67, or km 11/98 pp. 4 par 7)
This is the most common way to assign territories.
Field Service Group Territory
Weekend Field Service territories can also be assigned to a Field Service Group.
In this case, you would typically assign the territory to a Field Service Group, and then set NWP App Show to – Field Service Groups
Personal Territory
Assigning a territory to a Person does not automatically mean it is a Personal Territory. You must choose NWP App Show to – Persons to limit this to a single person.
Remember, the majority of preaching is not done with Personal Territories, but together as a group.
4 par 7)
Personal Territories should be considered a “supplement” to Group Witnessing, and should not replace group witnessing. (see km 12/06 p. 8 par 5)
Family Territory
Typically the territory would be assigned to the Family Head, and then set NWP App Show to – Family.
Please ensure the Families have been correctly setup in Congregation > Groups and Families > Families.
If any family member cannot see their Family territories:
- Double-check the Family has been correctly setup in Congregation > Groups and Families > Families
- Click App > Refresh Persons App Data
Neighbor Congregation
Territories assigned to a Neighbor Congregation will not appear on the NW Publisher app, and are not sent or “synchronized” with a Neighbor Congregation. This is for your reference and records only.
For example, if your congregation has difficulty covering all your territory, you might loan several territories to a Neighbor Congregation.
