Circuit Overseers and NW Scheduler

New World Scheduler really appreciates the hard work of our Circuit Overseers!

New World Scheduler allows Circuit Overseers to access the NW Scheduler and NW Publisher app data when visiting congregations, as well as exporting this data for their own CO software.

When a Circuit Overseer visits your congregation, he has multiple ways to see your data:

Likely your Circuit Overseer will want to use multiple ways to see your data. We recommend using Options 1, 3 and 4 together.

Common Questions and Problems

NW Scheduler for Circuit Overseers (RECOMMENDED)

NW Scheduler is provided free to all Circuit Overseers. It allows them to use NW Scheduler to see a congregations NW Scheduler data when he visits.

  • Tip: This is the most effective way a Circuit Overseer can see your congregation records and understand your congregation.

What the Congregation should do

  1. Before the visit, a Congregation Administrator should open NW Scheduler
  2. Click Congregation > Import and Export
  3. Click Export > Congregation for Circuit Overseer
  4. Click NW Scheduler file
  5. Select a location to save the exported data
  6. An encrypted NW Scheduler file will be saved to this location
  7. Send this file to your Circuit Overseer, e.g. using jwpub email
  • Note: He will not be able to edit or change your data. Congregation Sharing and NW Publisher app administration will be automatically disabled for them. He also does not need to register. Free access is automatically given to all Circuit Overseers who import congregation data.

  1. Download and install New World Scheduler
  2. Receive and Save the NW Scheduler file somewhere on your computer, e.g. Documents
  3. Open New World Scheduler
  4. At Getting Started, click Open Congregation from File
  5. Locate and select the NW Scheduler file you received and click Open
  6. They can now see and print all the congregation data
  • Note: When the visit has finished, click Congregation > Delete to remove the data from NW Scheduler. Any changes or deletions you make will not affect the original congregation data.

Other Circuit Overseer software

NW Scheduler supports exporting data to other Circuit Overseer software, such as Timothy and Circuit Assistant.

Your Circuit Overseer may or may not use this software, and he will inform you if he wishes you to do this.

Timothy

What the Congregation should do

  1. Before the visit, a Congregation Administrator should open NW Scheduler
  2. Click Congregation > Import and Export
  3. Click Export > Congregation for Circuit Overseer

What the Congregation should do

  1. Before the visit, a Congregation Administrator should open NW Scheduler
  2. Click Congregation > Import and Export
  3. Click Export >
  4. Congregation for Circuit Overseer
  5. Click Circuit Assistant
  6. Select a location to save the exported data
  7. An encrypted Circuit Assistant file will be saved to this location
  8. Send this file to your Circuit Overseer, e.g. using jwpub email

What the Circuit Overseer should do

Open this file using Circuit Assistant software.

NW Publisher app for Circuit Overseers

The Circuit Overseer can use the NW Publisher app to connect to your congregation for the duration of the visit. This allows him to see all Schedules, the Information Board and Congregation Events (including the Circuit Overseer Visit event).

What the Congregation should do

  1. Before the visit, a Congregation Administrator should open NW Scheduler
  2. Click App > App Persons
  3. The top person in the list is the Circuit Overseer. The first name is “CO” and he has a unqie Person PIN.
  4. Send the Circuit Overseer the following information:
    • Your Congregation ID
    • Your Congregation PIN
    • First Name: CO
    • CO Person PIN

What the Circuit Overseer should do

  1. Install NW Publisher app on your mobile device
    • Visit NWPublisher.com, or
    • Search for NW Publisher in the Apple Store or Google Play Store
  2. Connect to the congregation using the following informatoin supplied by the congregation:
    • Congregation ID
    • Congregation PIN
    • First Name is CO
    • CO Person PIN
  • Note: When the visit has finished, simply tap Settings > Disconnect

Congregation Reports and Records

NW Scheduler can generate many reports for the Circuit Overseer, including all the required information in sfg.

What the Congregation should do

  1. Add the upcoming Circuit Overseer visit as a Congregation Event
  2. Optionally, Schedule the visit using Schedule > Circuit Overseer Visit
  3. Click Printing > Save, Print and Email Reports
  4. Under Report, select Circuit Overseer category
  5. Select each report one at a time, and click Save
    • Note: We recommend setting File Type to PDF
  6. Save the reports to a folder on your computer
  7. Send them to your Circuit Overseer.

What the Circuit Overseer should do

Check the records in the usual manner.

Common Questions and Problems

If your home congregation is using the Congregation Sharing function:

  1. Delete your home congregation. (See Help > Getting Started Help > Move, Change, Merge, Split or Delete Congregation)
  2. Open the Circuit Overseer copy of the visit congregation’s NW Scheduler.  (See Help > Roles Help > Circuit Overseer > NW Scheduler file)
  3. When the circuit visit is complete, delete the visited congregation from NW Scheduler and delete the NW Scheduler file that that congregation sent.
  4. Re-open your home congregation from Congregation Sharing. (See Help > Congregation Sharing Help > Open a Congregation from Sharing).

If your home congregation is not using Congregation Sharing:

  1. Backup your home congregation. (See Help > Getting Started Help > Backup or Restore Data)
  2. Delete your home congregation. (See Help > Getting Started Help > Move, Change, Merge, Split or Delete Congregation)
  3. Open the Circuit Overseer copy of the visit congregation’s NW Scheduler.  (See Help > Roles Help > Circuit Overseer > NW Scheduler file)
  4. When the circuit visit is complete, delete the visited congregation from NW Scheduler and delete the NW Scheduler file that that congregation sent.
  5. Restore your home congregation from Backup. (See Help > Getting Started Help > Backup or Restore Data).
