Import from CLM Explorer

New World Scheduler supports Importing and Exporting data into a variety of common file formats.

We believe your congregation and person data is your own, and you should be able to Import and Export your data as you wish. We also believe that as true Christians, it is both reasonable and right to allow data exchange between other JW scheduling programs.

New World Scheduler can import the following from CLM Explorer into New World Scheduler:

Import Persons and Life and Ministry Meeting Schedule (CLM) from CLM Explorer

Export from CLM Explorer

  1. Update to the latest version of CLM Explorer
  2. Open CLM Explorer
  3. Ensure your Congregation Language is set to English
  4. Click File > Export to Excel
  5. Under Export What?, select Students
  6. On the right side, Tick all Fields to Include
  7. Tick Ensure Field Names in First Row
  8. Untick Launch When Done
  9. Click Export
  10. Save the csv file to a folder on your computer, e.g. Documents
  11. Repeat steps 4-9, but selecting Talk History instead.
  12. You should now have two files called Students.csv and Talk History.csv in a folder.

Import into New World Scheduler

  1. Open New World Scheduler
  2. Click Congregation > Import or Export
  3. Under Import, click Import Congregation  > from CLM Explorer
  4. Carefully follow the instructions, then click Import
  5. Select the folder where you saved the two csv files, then click Select Folder.
  6. Your data will now import
  7. Once the Import is completed, the Import Log will appear
  8. Please carefully check the Import Log, then click Save Import Log and Close
    • Note: When you click Save Import Log, you will be asked where to save this file to. Select a location on your computer, e.g. Documents.

Import Persons from CLM Explorer

  • If the First Name and Last Name exactly matches an existing person the person data will be merged. Otherwise a new person will be added.

Export from CLM Explorer

  1. Update to the latest version of CLM Explorer
  2. Open CLM Explorer
  3. Click File > Export to Excel
  4. Under Export What?, select Students
  5. On the right side, Tick all Fields to Include
  6. Tick Ensure Field Names in First Row
  7. Untick Launch When Done
  8. Click Export
  9. Save the csv file to a folder on your computer, e.g. Documents
  10. You should now have a file called Students.csv in a folder

Import into New World Scheduler

  1. Open New World Scheduler
  2. Click Persons
  3. Click Import
  4. Click from CLM Explorer
  5. Carefully follow the instructions, then click Import
  6. Select the folder where you saved the Students csv file, then click Select Folder.
  7. Your data will now import
  8. Once the Import is completed, the Import Log will appear
  9. Please carefully check the Import Log, then click Save Import Log and Close
    • Note: When you click Save Import Log, you will be asked where to save this file to. Select a location on your computer, e.g. Documents.

Import Life and Ministry Meeting Schedule (CLM) only from CLM Explorer

  • If the First Name and Last Name exactly matches, the CLM assignment will be added. Otherwise it will not be added.

Export from CLM Explorer

  1. Update to the latest version of CLM Explorer
  2. Open CLM Explorer
  3. Ensure your Congregation Language is set to English
  4. Click File > Export to Excel
  5. Under Export What?, select Talk History
  6. On the right side, Tick all Fields to Include
  7. Tick Ensure Field Names in First Row
  8. Untick Launch When Done
  9. Click Export
  10. Save the csv file to a folder on your computer, e.g. Documents
  11. You should now have a file called Talk History.csv in a folder

Import into New World Scheduler

  1. Open New World Scheduler
  2. Click Schedule > Life and Ministry Meeting
  3. Click Import
  4. Click from CLM Explorer
  5. Carefully follow the instructions, then click Import
  6. Select the folder where you saved the Talk History csv file, then click Select Folder.
  7. Your data will now import
  8. Once the Import is completed, the Import Log will appear
  9. Please carefully check the Import Log, then click Save Import Log and Close
    • Note: When you click Save Import Log, you will be asked where to save this file to. Select a location on your computer, e.g. Documents.
