Import from Ta1ks

New World Scheduler supports Importing and Exporting data into a variety of common file formats.

We believe your congregation and person data is your own, and you should be able to Import and Export your data as you wish. We also believe that as true Christians, it is both reasonable and right to allow data exchange between other JW scheduling programs.

New World Scheduler can import the Public Talk Schedule from Ta1ks, including any Public Speaker and Congregations.

Import Public Talk Schedule from Ta1ks

  • Note: If the First Name and Last Name exactly match an existing Public Speaker, the record will be merged. Otherwise a new Public Speaker will be created
  • Note: Ta1ks appears to only allow you to import your current and future schedule. There is obviously nothing we can do about this.

Export from Ta1ks

  1. Update Ta1ks to the latest version
  2. Click Current Schedule
  3. Choose your Starting Week
  4. Set # of Weeks to 52
  5. Click Export
  6. A file will be created called ptsched.txt. Please note the folder this is saved in.
    • Note: This is usually C:\Ta1ks
  7. Close Tak1s

Import into New World Scheduler

  1. Open New World Scheduler
  2. Click Congregation > Import or Export
  3. Click Import
  4. Click Public Talk Schedule
  5. Click from Ta1ks
  6. Locate and select your exported ptsched.txt file
  7. Your Public Talk Schedule will now import
  8. Once the Import is completed, the Import Log will appear
  9. Please carefully check the Import Log, then click Save Import Log and Close
    • Note: When you click Save Import Log, you will be asked where to save this file to. Select a location on your computer, e.g. Documents
