Changing Computers or Multiple Computers

New World Scheduler has been designed so you are able to easily change computers, or even use multiple computers to access New World Scheduler.

Changing Computers

There are 2 different ways to change computers, depending on whether you are using Congregation Sharing or not.

Using Congregation Sharing

  • Note: These steps should only be used if you have already Enabled and Setup Congregation Sharing. See Congregation Sharing Help for more information.
  1. Install New World Scheduler on your new computer.
  2. At Getting Started, click Open Congregation from Sharing
  3. Delete New World Scheduler from your old computer.

Manually Transferring Data

  1. Using your previous computer, create a Backup of all New World Scheduler data and save this to a USB drive or similar.
  2. Install New World Scheduler on your new computer
  3. At Getting Started, click Open Congregation from File and select the Backup File you previously saved.

Multiple Computers

There are 2 ways to access New World Scheduler on multiple computers: Manually transferring data or Congregation Sharing.

Manually Transferring Data

  1. Using your first computer, create a Backup of all New World Scheduler data and save this to USB or similar.
  2. Install New World Scheduler on your second computer
  3. At Getting Started, click Open Congregation from File and select the Backup File you previously saved.
  • Note: Afterwards, changes or updates will not be automatically syncronized. To syncronize data, you should follow the same proceedure in reverse, or instead use Congregation Sharing.

Congregation Sharing

  1. Using your first computer, enable and setup Congregation Sharing
  2. Install New World Scheduler on your second computer.
  3. At Getting Started, click Open Congregation from Sharing
  • Note: Afterwards, changes or updates will be automatically syncronized.
