Save as Document then Edit manually

The easiest way to make changes to a template, report or schedule is simply set the File Type as Document and click Save, then open the Document in Microsoft Word or similar, and make the necessary changes.

You can then save, save as PDF, email or print the document yourself.

Customize Templates

  • Important: Please carefully note the Customizing Limitations before you start customizing or you will cause NW Scheduler to crash.

You can make minor changes to some of the templates and save these for future use:

  1. Close New World Scheduler
  2. Open File Explorer
  3. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\New World Scheduler\Templates\ then locate and Copy the template you want to customize. Also note the Folder Category name the template is located in.
  4. Navigate to C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\New World Scheduler\MyTemplates
    • Note: The AppData folder is Hidden, but you can manually type in the name.
    • Note: Do not save your custom templates in the Program Files folder, this is replaced on each update
  5. Locate the exact same Folder Category as the copied template.
  6. Paste your template in that folder.
  7. Slightly Rename your template.
    • Note: Some template names are used by New World Scheduler to determine how to print, so do not make big changes. E.G. You could rename “2 Weeks per page (Letter)” to “2 Weeks per page NEW (Letter)”
  8. Open and make minor edits to your template
    • Note: See limitations below
  9. Save your template
  10. Open New World Scheduler and test your template
  11. Create a backup of your template somewhere on your computer

Customizing Limitations

  • Not all templates can be adjusted, and we cannot provide a list of templates that can be adjusted.
  • You cannot add or remove any rows, columns or tables from any template. This will cause NW Scheduler to crash.
  • You cannot add an extra “tags” to the templates.
  • You are generally not able to edit the font sizes or colors unless there is an existing tag.
  • We cannot provide any support for any errors or problems in any custom templates. This feature is provided “as-is”. If you have any problems editing or customizing templates, please just use the 200+ provided templates, or Request a New Template.

Request a New Template

New World Scheduler already contains over 140 different templates and reports. These have been designed for use by the world-wide brotherhood, and we have tried to standardize the design.

It is not possible to create a customized report or template for everything and everyone. Even if our templates are different to the ones you might have used previously, you will likely find they are just as effective, maybe more so.

Nevertheless, if you would like to suggest we add a new template to New World Scheduler:

  1. Create a sample or screenshot of a sample
  2. Click Help > Contact Us > Suggestion and carefully follow the directions provided

Common Questions and Problems

If a report, schedule or template does not exist on our Help pages, then it most likely does not exist in New World Scheduler. While New World Scheduler already contains over 130 different templates and reports, it is not possible to create reports or templates for everything and everyone.

Nevertheless, if you would like to suggest a new schedule, report or template for New World Scheduler:

  1. Create a sample or screenshot of a sample
  2. Click Help > Contact Us > Suggestion and carefully follow the directions provided.

Please carefully re-read the section Select the Report or Schedule on the Preview, Save, Print or Email Reports page.

The Periods are fixed and cannot be changed. They will automatically update as time passes.
