Our congregation is comprised of a large volume of elders, servants, regular pioneers, and many publishers. We previously used several different products and pieces of software to manage things. While this approach worked acceptably for many years, none of those systems were able to “talk” to one another. This meant each brother caring for various schedules and tasks was on his own, without an easy method of checking with another brother to organize a cohesive set of schedules. The NW Scheduler software and NW Publisher app has resolved most of that, giving us perhaps the most significant benefit of switching over to NWS and NWP—vastly improved communication between brothers with various scheduling, assignments, and duties.
Notifying all publishers and/or all individuals belonging to specific groups (elders, servants, etc.) of upcoming events has been another big benefit. Another question we had is: Would we see a higher percentage of publishers turn in their field service activity on time? We’re happy to say the answer has been “Yes,” particularly for those who are living as shut-ins at home due to health issues, age, etc. They’ve expressed feeling more connected with congregation arrangements and activities since they can now refer to the NWP app on their mobile devices.
The desktop tool and the mobile app have each proven to be beneficial. And as new features are added and other features improved, it greatly helps with the usability of these tools for elders and all publishers. We look forward to seeing how the software will continue to grow and improve, as well as how it can be of even more help to us. Thank you for the amount of work that’s gone into this very comprehensive tool.
